For Sale 1950 Deluxe Split Window
Buy Classic Volks – Volkswagen Deluxe Split Window for Sale in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA on good condition. Year construction 1950. No rust ever L51 Bordeaux Red July 1950 deluxe split with many of the original hard to find parts. This split was purchased from Davella Motors, Inc, Meriden, Connecticut when they went out of business and had public auction in 1998. This split was in their showroom for several decades.

Engine is from a 1948. Engine number 1-121366. Appears to have all the correct tin ware for a ’48, including crank apron tin and German stampings on seamed fan shroud. Speedo is in kilometres and is dated 5.49. Speedo shows 51,000 km. By the condition of the original carpeting, other interior components and lack of rust, I believe that this reflects original mileage. Runs, drives and stops. Brakes should be refreshed. Some oil drips.
Nice original paint unmolested dash and interior. Glove boxes and linings are original and in excellent condition. Interior has original headliner and carpeting, both in good condition. Original seats and side panels have been recovered year’s ago. Driver’s door panel is missing. One original pillow. Ignition switch will require repair or replacement. Currently a toggle switch is utilized. Wiper arms are missing. Left door strap missing. Two NOS ivory dash switch knobs included.
Five 16” two-tone rims. Five new Cooker Classic tires.
Body Number is stamped 132 566. Rear fenders and engine lid were replaced with early oval fenders and lid and has heart tail lamps. It could be possible that the rear change was simply done as an ‘upgrade’ at some juncture. Right front fender has been replaced with an oval fender. Bumpers are non-split era. Bottoms of both doors are perfect. Seats and door panels will require recovering. Seat frames are gorgeous. This is a rare no rust ever split. Valid Pennsylvania title. Split is located at our shop in Reading PA.
