Selling a non-walkthrough 13 window deluxe. This bus runs, drives and stops. This is a solid east coast bus with minor imperfections and rust. Many new parts and a lot of new metal on the bus. It is missing a few things but overall a nice start to a restoration or drive as is with a few things fixed.
The good: 67 bus with clear Pennsylvania Title in my name. The bus runs and drives. Original paint on parts of the bus. Comes with correct deluxe bumpers and deluxe trim on bumpers. All matching. original and correct glass throughout. New tires on powder coated 15 inch vw rims. Dates are random. Many new parts including:
New brake pads, 6 german cylinders, new soft lines and new hard lines. New german dual master cylinder. New bearing in the front and rear. New tie rods, drag link and new swing lever pin. Also a new steering damper was installed. Spindles are rebuilt and ready to go. New axle boots on the rear. New emergency brake cables and accelerator cable. Also has a new fuel tank and fuel sender.
Rust repairs include front drivers side floor, 8 inches on each side of the cargo floor as well as the front crossmember and the front 6 inches of cargo floor. The lower bulkhead, all outriggers, battery trays on both sides, both rear corner and both rockers. Inners and outers and intermediate on passenger’s side. The panels used were from Gerson or Wolfsburgwest.
Electrical that works includes the horn, turn signals, brake lights, driving lights, dummy lights and speedometer backlighting. The two speed wipers work as well.
The interior panels are original and conditions vary from panel to panel but all are present except two. The cargo mat and front floor mat are both the correct blue. Has all three arm rests which are also the correct blue.
The not so good: Missing a few pieces to make this bus complete including a middle seat, splash guard at the front of the bus, deluxe jail bar for the rear seat and for the rear hatch. Correct color door and interior panel for the driver’s door and a radio. Transmission and engine are in unknown condition but function as they should. The engine is a single port with doghouse oil cooler. Has correct air cleaner. Inner frame rail metal was patched to replace compromised metal. Rust that could use attention. The front floor still needs attention and the lower nose. There are some pin holes in the rear cargo floor as well as the driver’s side wheel well. The pop out windows are all functional but rusty and missing seals. Lower windshield sills will need replaced. The electrical components that do not work at this time include the headlights, four ways, and interior dome lights.
