I just got this car about a month ago to daily drive. It’s a fantastic vehicle. Car is mechanically sound in every way. Everything works including the original Sapphire 1 radio, wipers, lights, dome light, turn signals, bright switch, everything! Interior is fantastic. Also, it’s probably one of the only beetle’s on the road with great working HEAT! Heat gets down right sweaty at times. It has a few scratches and dents from the daily grind over the last few years although, its still pretty fresh.But, this car is just too damn nice to be daily driven. I find myself absolutely paranoid when I leave it in a parking lot with thoughts of scratches, dents, or even worse…theft. Plus, I have kids I haul around all week and I just need something more practical to run them back and forth to basketball, karate, etc. It pains me to do it, but I really jumped on it without thinking. I’ve got to get the front drums turned and I’ve gotta order a new voltage regulator for it (borrowed the VR off my 66, have no idea how old it is and I’d feel more comfortable with a fresh one). It also needs an oil change. I’d have all that squared away before sale.
Those of you that have seen the car can vouch for it. Its simply a fantastic looking bug. I am in no shape or form desperate to get rid of the car so, please dont low ball me. I know what I have and will stick to my guns on this one. I have no problem with sticking it out until next year because like I said, its a mechanically sound dependable vehicle.I have a ton of stuff to go with it including a bentley repair manual, bumper guard to replace rusty one on front bumper. Also a new overrider bar. Plus, a bunch of other odds and ends that came with it.Trades considered would be 5spd mustang, a nice Land Rover, f150 or similar, or anything fun or useful. Must be of equal value!! Cash is king!! $7500 obo
