Detail by Owner
Thank you for checking out my silver metallic 1971 Porsche 911E Targa. This is a very original car with numbers matching engine with original MFI pump and intake system and 5-speed manual transmission, verified with the Porsche COA and California title in hand and ready to sell. I will send you pictures of all documents, if you’d like.

This is a numbers matching 1971 911E VIN: 9111210117, 911E engine #6210631 and 5-speed manual gearbox #111269. These numbers match the COA and they match the warranty booklet.

Original color is Silver Metallic Code 80, with Black Leatherette Code 11.

The engine pulls very strong in all five gears and makes that amazing MFI Porsche flat-6 sound. The trans shifts smoothly in all gears. Brakes and suspension work well. MFI pump recalibrated 11/19/15.

I am the third owner; the first having taken delivery from Green Motors Porsche Audi in Norwalk, CA on 2/12/1970 for one year and the second owning it until last October. I have registration records from 1973 to today.

The sale also includes the car’s original keys, original manual, original warranty book from Green Motors Porsche Audi, original toolkit, original jack with the special rubber band still in place, plus the original jack in its handle case.

This car is in good condition, but there are two small rust bubbles showing under the headlights. Also there is a small ding in the front bumper and a slight crack in the paint behind the driver door. It looks like it has been resprayed. The passenger door pocket is missing as is the top sill.

The interior is very usable and is in really nice condition. The seats have been reupholstered. The door panels are in great shape and the carpet is nice. The Targa top has been restored to excellent condition.

No signs of any accidents, and extremely clean inner aprons, wheel tubs, fenders, quarters, and rockers. The front suspension pan and driver battery box have been replaced and both battery boxes are excellent.

The wheels are original Fuchs and they need a little help but overall in good shape. The tires are new Falken ZE612 195/60-15 all the way around and the spare Fuch still has its Pirelli CN36 mounted.

The odometer reads 794 miles but I was told it was 100,794. It is probably even higher than that as the odometer works sporadically.

All gauges except the clock are working correctly. Dash lights, exterior lights, turn signals, horn, license plate lights and under bonnet lights work as do the heater fan and wipers. It has an AM/FM/cassette radio.

I consider this car a nice driver and worthy of an extensive mechanical restoration but my plans have changed and must pass it on to the next to make it perfect once again.

I invite you to come and take a look at the car before you bid, or send someone to look at it.
Vehicle is sold AS-IS. No joyrides; please have your financials finished and ready to be viewed before you visit.

Currently, the car is back in Grass Valley, California; 45 miles northeast of Sacramento near Nevada City.

No third party marketers or sellers required; I’m happy taking my time selling this fine car.
