Buy Classic Volks – Volkswagen Golf GTI for Sale in North Carolina, USA, Very Good condition on Red color. MK II 1986 GTI stock original style Southern car. 1986 Golf GTI – 197k miles, 5 spd, leather, pwr windows, sunroof, Titled, insured, inspected, registered and roadworthy. Originally from NC, this VW has always been in the South. There is no rust or corrosion. Up until 2 years ago, when not being driven the original owner kept it in a climate controlled basement garage amongst his Porsches. When outside it was covered up. For the last two years it has been stored in the shade and in a garage. All of this has served to protect the original leather interior which is in very good condition for the age and mileage. The exterior has been repainted once in the correct Tornado Red and is also in very good condition.

This vehicle has had proper maintenance since new as well as repairs when needed. Service records from 1987 onward are present including detailes of work performed to prepare this GTi for sale. The only feature currently inop is the central locking. The only impending service item due will be front brakes sometime in the next 2-3 oil changes, which for some drivers could be over a year away. Recent work includes oil change, alignment, tune up, new Michelins and more.

This is a terribly fun vehicle to drive and really just to have. While many cars of this age are still in good shape here in NC, this one is just especially nice. It is a fully loaded example with leather and power windows. It has clearly been appreciated and enjoyed.

Note that I take the legal aspect of vehicle purchase and registration very seriously. I require that the new owner sign the title in front of a notary. Or in other words if you are not willing to go to the bank with me and put the car in your name, you can’t have it. By law, I am required to disclose that this GTi has a branded title caused by a minor accident in 2000 (when it was just an old car, not a collector piece.)

This vehicle comes with records, books, 2 keys and some spare parts – depending on how much you want.

Reasonable, as in very close to asking price offers will be considered. I will gladly pick you up at the airport or train station. The ONLY trades considered would be for a bus. Any year, but it has to be rust free and decent. Or possibly a Volvo station wagon. Nothing else, please don’t ask. More photos are available but will be difficult to provide.
