Buy Classic Volks – 1967 Volkswagen Type 3 Squareback for Sale Telford, Shropshire, United Kingdom on good condition. UK RHD’67 Squareback . It’s sealing wax red with a grey roof and bumpers. Painted about 10 years ago it’s holding up very well although there’s a blister here and there nothing bad. pannels are very straight and gaps good and even. It’s just had an entire rear subframe, (it’s not like a bug, they’re pressed steel rather than cast and had started to corrode round the spring plate covers) while the motor and gearbox were out the underneath of the car above the gearbox has been cleaned and painted, the box cleaned up with new seals and axle boots too. New shocks all round raised to standard height at the rear, OG type 3 tow bar (sits inside the rear bumper) and full electrics fitted, new track rod ends. it drives like a dream!Last year john Walklett built me a 1955cc motor, new aulolinea Ali case, cb balanced forged crank, CB race rods, Mahle B&P;’s, CB ‘Los panchito’s’ heads (smallish valves, low down grunt) engle 120 cam and a brand new pair of weber 40’s jetted for the motor. it has pertronix electronic ignition, flamethrower coil and leads. we kept the flywheel std weight as we planned to tow with it, has full flow oil, braided hoses, anodised fittings external cooler etc not had it dyno’d but I reckon it makes 100bhp, hardly revs but can pull tree stumps out of the ground! we have a small Sprite caravan weighing 650kg an it pulls this just fine. all of the original tinwear was blasted and powdercoated including the OG heat exchangers. the heaters work perfectly.

as you can see its lowered but sensibly so, it rides extremely well, not bumpy at all. its wearing replica gas burners with very good tyres. the tyres came with the wheels and if I’m honest i don’t like them, they’re a bit too low profile for my taste. as you’d imagine, they’ve knocked the speedo reading out to by about 8mph.
The interior is a bit tired, was the next thing to do, needs a carpet set to smarten it up, the seats are worn and the door cards are tired. The window seals don’t leak but are old and the front window scrapers need replacing, I have a new pair just haven’t put them in. I also have the original pair of rear amber topped lenses if they’re prefered.

MOT’d to August 2014, tax exempt. all in all a very well sorted RHD squareback
