For sale, a genuine, beautiful, mechanically sound Oval Window, meticulously restored in 2002. This Oval Window is absolutely gorgeous – a 100-point restoration – in the desirable original color Light Coral Red. The quality of this restoration is far above the norm, and you will not find many others built to this level. Since the completion of restoration, this Oval has been driven sparingly and looks and drives great.

This Oval has been authenticated by a Birth Certificate from Volkswagen as a factory Light Coral Red color scheme, with light Beige Interior, as well as a confirmed delivery to Morocco Feb. 20, 1957.

Done by Deluxe Customs, who are known for their quality restorations, the body is very nice, super straight, the paint finish is beautiful. The restoration started with a rust free body and all original German sheet metal was used. Bodywork and paint were completed on a rotisserie. The paint was matched to the original Light Coral Red on the under side of the dash. All correct parts are present including body trim, coat hooks, chrome hubcaps with color matched logos, correct original re-plated hardware, etc. Additionally, the Oval has desirable popout quarter windows. The underside of the Oval is also beautifully painted and detailed. Features stock 15 inch wheels with Firestone gum-walls.

The interior is near perfect, very faithful to the original Light Beige. Details to note include all correct seats finished in correct upholstery, mohair headliner, nice interior paneling. Accessories include an eight-day clock, cruiser peddle, and quarter window popouts.

Mechanically the Oval is all new. Strict attention was given to keep to stock original. Every part was NOS, refurbished original parts or new, and has been driven just a few thousand kilometers since completion. It features a super clean and fresh 36HP engine, stock transaxle, and original 6-volt electrical system. The tires are Firestone gum-wall with large white walls.

It has not attended any car shows or Volkswagen events in years. And still shows like new.

Overall this is an extremely well restored and simply beautiful Oval Window that is far nicer than most available.
