Selling my 1989 MK2 GTI. Got this with intentions to give it the TLC it needs. But other projects are taking priority. Currently does not run well. Will need to be towed. The following has been very recently replaced with no miles put on:
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Ignition cap and rotor
Air filter
Fuel filter
Fuel filter check valve
New oil pan
Fresh oil change w/ filter
About every shifter linkage and bushing that’s available
I am suspicious that it is a fueling issue that is making it run poorly. And it also seems to be cold blooded. I had it running pretty good and was drive able this summer. Then it got put away for about 3 months and when I pulled it out of storage after some cold weather arrived, it was rough to start.
Also have two doors complete with door cards and windows. Two front fenders. Brand new door handles that have not even been installed.
Clean title in hand. Has about 140k miles on it. Asking $900.
