1993 Volkswagen Corrado VR6 SLC
Price is a starting point. I will consider any reasonable offers. I’m in no hurry to get rid of it, so don’t bother low-balling. I’m not desperate. There were only 97k of these made, but if you’re look at the ad, you probably already knew that. And yes, as far as I can confirm, the purple is its original color.
I have kept this car as original as possible with quality OEM parts, and it’s reliably drivable.
Let’s talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly:
NEWLY REPLACED:
Radiator
radiator fans
crack pipe
heater core
coolant hoses
coolant overflow tank
oil cooler
thermostat /thermostat housing
aux water pump
spark plugs
Spark plug wires
cap and rotor
front brake rotors and pads
transmission fluid
serpentine belt
lower control arm bushings
lower ball joints
drivers side front drive axel
drivers side front wheel bearing and hub
BRAND new battery
aftermarket steel door strikers
ignition coil
INTERIOR:
Leather is cracking slightly on the front seats, but over all in pretty decent shape. Dashboard and components look perfect. Headliner missing from the sunroof, but hey, the SUNROOF WORKS like a charm!
Included are several new trim pieces still in the bag. Ask me for details.
EXTERIOR:
Needs TLC. Paint is starting to go this year and there have been some dings in its 20 years. I have included them in the photos. The worst of it is a very low speed (less than 1mph) ding on the front passenger fender. No frame damage.
Most things that are flawed on the outside would be modded anyway (i.e. bumper cover, fog lights, paint scratches…etc)
THINGS TO BE FIXED:
(It’s a 20 year old Corrado. I won’t go nuts here, but most of these things are very common to the VR6)
Front Drivers CV boot
Rear Passenger Caliper is sticking (common issue)
Parking brake cable sticks when it’s cold out (common issue)
Passenger seat belt only retracts when key comes out (new issue)
Some remaining tint needs to be removed
Hood release cable is broken but I have it rigged so it opens (common issue)
