Only selling due to business venture and need all the cash I can come up with. 171K well care for miles. I have owned this gem for 14 years; bought from original owner with 96K. Never driven in winter. Never had any rust; body repainted same color a few years ago. 1st place in class and overall watercooled. New Toyo performance tires and wheels. Most recent work was new oil pump and shifter bushings. Rblt 5 spd. Mechanically solid but does need new muffler; was going to get a TT cat-back S/S system. Last timing belt and water pump was at 130K. Interior is original and does have some wear but really good for 26 years. Please do not waste my time; serious Scirocco buyers only. $4500.

Buy Classic Volks – Volkswagen Scirocco for Sale in Malibu, California, USA, It has been an amazing car that I just don’t have time to fix up. THIS IS A PROJECT CAR! If I’m not mistaken it is a 1.8 litre engine, single OHC. 4 speed manual transmission. It was manufactured “pre April” so it uses the non shielded distributor cap and ignition parts for that manufacture. I had the engine rebuilt as a result of a bad #4 cylinder around 2003 and finally had the head replaced a couple of years ago. All the work was done by a great mechanic in San Pedro named Wolfgang at his shop on 6th Street. I used it to get to work-driving the SoCal freeways. The car has VERY high mileage (600K+) but they are predominantly highway miles. It needs what I’ll call minor bodywork – passenger door dent, driver side turn signal lens broken and slight metal damage there too. Paint job a must-surface rust prevalent and original “Mars Red” faded. 4-15″ rims for low profile tires included as well as 2 VW 13″ rims. There are 2 leather front seats only (I used the car to haul my tools and my dog!) Replaced a couple of years ago: Wheel bearings, submersible fuel pump, Bosch starter, radiator fan, some hoses. It passed SMOG last time and should pass again as the car has been parked for a couple of months since my retirement this year.
